Commission a hat

This hat is knitted in Rowan Big Wool. Made from 100% merino wool, Big Wool produces bold stitch effects. It's ideal for a quick project and is extra warm and cosy for winter pieces. This soft wool comes in a beautiful range of colours.

Commision a frock

The pattern is from Gertie's Vintage Casual book, and I accept commissions to make this item also.

This is a Fifties housedress with a front zip, fitted at the bust, waist and hips to personal measurements.

It has kimono sleeves, and two decorative pockets on the skirt front.  Seen here with petticoat worn.

Quilted artworks

The garment on the right was made for a fashion show held on Feb 9th and 10th, 2019 at Edinburgh City Art Centre entitled: Edwin G Lucas: An Individual Eye.

It is based on one of his paintings of the interior of his family home and is photographed here in front of another of his paintings.

Knitted bag

Commission from Joe Lycett's Got Your Back to support British wool industry

This knitted bag was commissioned by the programme for a campaign to support UK sheep farmers. I do prefer to use 100% wool for lots of reasons ...most of all because its warmer than synthetic. I am permanently cold so its a win win. The yarns used here are all from Hobbycraft, very reasonably priced and go under the Women's Institute Home Grown label.
